HCFC-22

HCFC-22, a hydrochlorofluorocarbon, is a very stable and inert gas. Used in practically all residential and light commercial air conditioning and to some extent in large tonnage applications with centrifugal compressors. It is also used for some industrial low-temperature requirements and for medium- and low-temperature display cases in supermarkets.

HCFC-134A


HFC 134a is an ozone-friendly refrigerant. It has no chlorine and hence zero ozone depleting potential. HFC-134a is widely used as a replacement for CFC-12. It is used in various applications such as domestic, commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning, as well as in many consumer products such as aerosols.

HFC-404A

404A is a non-ozone depleting compound designed to serve as a long-term alternative to R-502 and R-22 in low- and medium-temperature commercial refrigeration systems. Applications where R-404A is a suitable refrigerant for retrofits or new installations include supermarket freezer cases, reach-in coolers, display cases, transport refrigeration, ice machines, and storage facilities. 404A is a blend of HFC-125, HFC-143a, and HFC-134a, and should always be charged in liquid phase.

R-407C

407C is a non-ozone depleting blend used as a replacement for R-22 (HCFC-22) in existing medium-temperature commercial refrigeration systems, including supermarket display cases and reach-in coolers. Relative to R-22, there is little to no capacity decrease with 407C, making it easy to use in R-22 equipment designs. However, some loss of efficiency may occur and some equipment modifications will be required when retrofitting these systems to 407C. 407C is a blend of HFC-125, HFC-32, and HFC-134a, should always be charged in liquid phase, and reclaimed R-407C should be tested for proper composition before use.

 

 

R-410A

R-410A is an azeotropic mixture of HFC-32 and HFC-125, with near-zero glide allowing for both predictable performance and easy handling and recycling. R-410A has a significantly higher capacity and moderately higher operating pressure than R-22, making it a cost-effective replacement for R-22 in higher-efficiency air conditioning and heat pump systems.
